NOTICE OF LOCATION AND DESIGN APPROVAL

Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project.
The date of location and design approval is: June 8, 2026
The project will replace the bridge over Beech Creek on Mountville-Hogansville Road, located between Mountville and Hogansville in Troup County in Land District 11. The replacement will begin approximately 300 feet from the top of the bank on either side of Beech Creek, covering a total project length of about 0.14 miles. The proposed roadway includes two 11-foot travel lanes (one in each direction), 4-foot shoulders, rural side ditches, and pavement and guardrail replacement on the approaches to the new bridge. The bridge will have an inside width of 30 feet and an outside width of 33.08 feet. Construction will last approximately 12 months.
Georgia Dept. of Transportation would be responsible for acquiring property rights for this project.
Drawings or maps or plats of the proposed project, as approved, are on file and are available for public inspection at the Georgia Department of Transportation:
